IMAGINE A CHARACTER THAT FEELS LIKE YOU

Your character doesn't have to look like you to feel like you.
Choose an animal, magical creature, robot or entirely invented being. Pick colors, shapes, markings, materials and accessories you enjoy. A world is the setting; its characters do not have to be human. A superhero can be a tiny dragon; a space explorer can be a friendly robot.

Use interests, talents, habits, favorite objects and chosen roles to tell the personal story. Ask people what their choices mean; do not assign a species, appearance or personality for them. No photograph or physical resemblance is needed.

FOR THE ARTWORK HELPER
Use the participant's chosen nonhuman character type and imaginative appearance. Do not infer human race, skin tone, facial features, gender, age or body shape from their name, role or interests. Do not turn a nonhuman character into a human. If a choice is unclear, ask or label your idea as a suggestion for review.

The eight revised worksheets follow this direction. Choose one world with the group, then let each person choose their own details.
